It is sad to admit, but I am a clothing store snob.

Yup!

When I go to Wal-Mart, I walk pass their summer dresses, cute workout pants, flashy tops or adorably affordable shoes.

I scoff at the idea of buying any shirts or blouses at Zellers.

I roll my eyes when my girlfriends mention their great savings at Giant Tiger.

I would pride myself on getting "deals" at Winners, The Bay or Sears.

Well, those days are kind of over!

Introducing (If you have not heard) Joe's Fresh Style Clothing Brand!

While I was in Calgary with my boy-friend and his mum, we were shopping at the SuperStore. I didn't realise how dry Calgary was and how freaking cold it got at night! So, while I was grocery shopping, I decided to "check out" what Joe had to offer.

Not only did I find 2 cute coats to wear (One for hiking, the other for dining! Lol!) I realise how awesome most of their inventory was...AND CHEAP!!

I am right glad I went with Erik and his mum, since if I was alone, I would have came out of there with way too much clothes that would fit in my suitcase! (It was already bad enough that we went to West Edmonton Mall and I got two pairs of CK jeans for 100$!!)

So, I decided to check out their site and note other items that would be of interest!

Hell, I can barely get a bra at that price!

Corsets... and my undying love for them!

Now, usually, I am unimpressed by corsets, since I owned a few, but I was impress by the shrinkage this girl (and I am assuming many others) had gone through.

Maybe it was the cute underbust corset or the fact that one of my cousins thought I was pregnant ( God, am I really that much of a whale?) but I started researching and reading up on it.

Crazy enough, once you start knowing what a corset is and what it looks like under and over clothes, you can pretty much spot anyone with a corset!

It's odd, but before I read up on corsets, I though this could have been Beyoncé's body!

Yes, I was quite naive!

Plus, she was not the only one lacing up the get a curvaceous body!

So, obviously after seeing hot chick after hot chick with the sexy hourglass figure, I wanted NEEDED to get my hands on a corset.

I remember purchasing a pink one at winners, so I found it and tried it on...

It looked awful... I realised after some research that plastic boning was not the way to go... It had to be steel.

To my dismay, I realised that I would have to get it fitted, but I was unable to find a corsetière in Ottawa, and well, I was unwilling to spend 250$ as well!

So, what is a girl to do? Yup! e-Bay!

I purchased a lovely corset from Corset Boulevard (This was the one) and I can say that this is a real corset! Not one of those La Senza plastic boning type!

You could tight lace it, but I do not want to tight lace, since I am trying to get used to the feeling of having a corset!

Gosh, I am on my second day, and it's quite hard! Lol, here are a few problems I am having:

• Driving and wearing a corset is something else! One cannot slouch with a corset, therefore I was sitting upright! Great for the posture!
• Sitting down - Boy, am I having some trouble! But you get the hang of it!
• Trying not to walk like Frankenstein! I truly think I am walking as normal as can be.
• Bending down to pick objects up! I am paranoid to drop anything. I feel foolish not being able to bend my back!

I am pretty sure that more (funny) occurrence will happen and I will add them as I go!

Also, I will add a before and after corset! I tend to wear it under my clothes since I purchased an underbust and I do not want to entice my poor fellow co-workers!

I am pretty sure that I will get use to it soon,  but as of now, it is somewhat awkward, but I enjoy seeing a smaller than usual waist... even though I am not laced tightly.

Brazilian Bikini Jeans

All I can say is No, no, no, no, no!

Weird enough, I can imagine these jeans becoming a trend, but ugh! I never even thought it was classy when a girl bent over and you saw her undies!

Now they created a jean that comes with???

Plus, I thought the whole low-rise fad was over! No one liked the explosion of muffin tops all over their city!

Yes, these jeans seem hot on this particular model, but think about the normal sized women!

Those "love" handles will be spewing out on each side! *Shudders*

And how does she manage to keep them up? I keep thinking that these pair will be the tug and slide kind. I hate when my jeans do that!

Pay Day + Good Budget = Rideau Centre Shopping!

This is probably the best day I get every two weeks!

So, what will I do with this new found money? Well, go shopping of course!

My budget is fine, and I am bored with the clothes I have!

Tomorrow, (not today cause I have some pre-pooing and DCing to do) I am heading to the Guess store!
For a week, I saved up to purchase this cute little dress that I saw online:

 

I absolutely fell in love with it! It must be mine!

Next, I need new shoes! I realized that I do not have any flats. I love my heels and would wear them any given day of the week, but sometimes a girl wants nice casual shoes. Also, I stubbed my toe and these heels are not helping!

I know they can seem quite boring, but I need casual yet cute shoes and I think they will be perfect.

Oh, and I will finally be heading to the Lacoste store! I am planning on buying my boy-friend a new polo!
